Hootenanny Kids Choir

Students will learn vocal warmups, singing techniques and the art of storytelling through song as we learn harmonies, movements and motions, solos and even some instruments. With a commitment to self expression and fun, learning will be informal and accessible with plenty of chances to connect with peers along the way.
Singing a cappella or with guitar accompaniment, there will be a focus on songs and arrangements within the folk tradition. Students will be invited to collaborate on song selections, arrangements and movements. No formal singing experience required!

These are special Pop Up Workshops with Emily. Book one date, two or all three!

Come on down to Hoot for a Saturday with Emily singing, drumming and strumming! This 2 Hour Workshop will be a fun filled time of group singing and playing as well as individual work drawing and crafting as we explore music theory and songwriting. Students will all be given an opportunity to drum- learning some new beats and creating their own. And for the strumming portion of the workshop, students will be given a mini group ukulele lesson! This workshop is open to students of all musical levels and backgrounds including total beginners!
