GUITAR 1

Winter 6 week session
Thursdays 1:15pm-2:15 pm- March 7-April 11
$252

Guitar I is designed for total beginners. We will introduce the basics of playing guitar - chord shapes, tuning, rhythm, and some songs. Song selections will be based on the interest of the group. Come on out to kick back and connect with yourself and the community around you through music.

GUITAR 2

Winter 6 week session
Thursdays 7:45 - 8:45 pm- March 7- April 11
$252

Guitar 2 is our follow-up class from Guitar 1. If you have enjoyed Guitar 1 or you are a beginner who knows 3-5 chords and some basic strumming you are welcome to come out! We will focus on learning full songs, introduce playing up the guitar neck and dive deeper into finding your styles, intuitive strum patterns and singing and playing at the same time.

GUITAR 3

Winter 6 week session
Fridays 6:30pm - 7:30 pm- March 8- April 12
$252

Join our very own Music Together teacher/ Brooklyn based artist Oghenero Gbaje (Oghie) and take your guitar playing to the next level. Oghie is thrilled to bring Guitar 3 to Hootenanny.  This is maybe the most challenging moment for a guitar player.  You can play.  It sounds pretty good.  But you're stuck doing the same few strumming patterns and chord progressions. Here is a chance to burst through to the next level! Join Oghie and learn the fretboard through exploring scales, solos and chord shapes up the neck. This class will also focus on the idea of personal style-- first emulating artists and styles you admire and then experimenting with how you personally make your guitar sing.  If you've gone through Guitar 2 with us or you already know all the basic chords and can change and play with relative ease, this class is for you- don't miss it!
